Welcome to the Seal King training website (the “Site”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site, including registering for and participating in Seal King training courses (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to comply with these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of the Site.
1. About Seal King
The Seal King brand was established in 1998 and is currently distributed to over 230 locations across North America. All Seal King products are engineered, manufactured, and packaged in Toronto, Ontario and Orlando, Florida. Seal King manufactures paving stone sealers and related surface-care products, and our mission is to position the brand as a household name synonymous with quality—one that resonates with both the DIY community and Hardscape professionals.
Our philosophy for growth is rooted in building and fostering strong relationships with our distributors, while educating and engaging our end-users through various media channels. If you grow, we grow—it’s that simple. We firmly believe that supporting our distributors and helping them champion the Seal King brand creates added value for the end-user and ultimately results in shared success.
The Seal King brand is—and continues to build its reputation as—the best sealer in its category. This Site provides training courses, resources, and certification materials for contractors, partners, and other users.
2. Eligibility
To use the Site and register for training courses, you must:
- Be at least the age of majority in your province or territory of residence, and
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
By registering, you confirm all information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Account Registration
Some Services require creating an account.
You agree to:
- Keep your login credentials safe
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Seal King may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Training Courses
Seal King provides training programs, certifications, and educational content related to its products.
4.1 Course Availability
Seal King may update, modify, reschedule, or discontinue training courses at any time without notice.
4.2 Certifications
Completing a course or certification does not make you an employee, agent, or authorized installer of Seal King unless explicitly stated in writing.
5. Payments & Refunds
If a course requires payment, you agree to pay all applicable fees.
Pricing is listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise noted.
Refund terms—if applicable—will be outlined on the course registration page. Unless otherwise specified, all sales are final.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for unlawful or harmful purposes
- Attempt to access secure or restricted portions of the Site
- Upload or distribute viruses, malware, or disruptive content
- Copy, download, or share training materials without authorization
Seal King may monitor Site activity for security and compliance.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site—including videos, text, graphics, logos, training modules, and downloadable materials—is owned by Seal King or its licensors and protected by Canadian intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or publicly display any materials without written permission.
8. User Content
If you submit content (e.g., assignments, comments, questions):
- You grant Seal King a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that content for training, support, and operational purposes.
- You represent that you have the right to provide such content.
You agree not to upload anything unlawful, offensive, or infringing.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by the Seal King Privacy Policy.
Seal King complies with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including:
- PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act)
- Relevant provincial privacy legislation where applicable
By using the Site, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
The Site and Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
Seal King does not guarantee:
- Course availability or uninterrupted access
- Accuracy or completeness of training materials
- Specific outcomes, certifications, or skill attainment
Seal King’s products should always be used according to official product instructions and safety documentation.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Canadian law, Seal King is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Use of, or inability to use, the Site
- Participation in training courses
- Errors, omissions, or interruptions in services
Your sole remedy is to stop using the Site and Services.
Some provinces and territories do not allow limitations on certain liabilities, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Seal King, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims or damages arising from:
- Your use of the Site
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your infringement of third-party rights
13. Modifications to the Terms
Seal King may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect any changes.
Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
Any disputes will be handled exclusively in the courts of Ontario, unless required otherwise by applicable consumer protection laws in your province or territory.
